Integrated digital scale without external power supply

No external power supply is required and if used for 200 weighings per day, a battery change is only necessary after about a year. To avoid misuse, the weighing range is limited to 15 kg ex works. However, this weighing range can be individually adjusted. The weighing accuracy of the scale is +/- 100 grams. Thanks to the automatic switch-off, the scale is particularly battery-friendly. After the hand luggage has been removed, it is automatically reset to zero.

Why does an airline need the Vangenhassend Baggage Sizer with a scale?

An airline needs the Baggage Sizer with a scale for several important reasons:

  1. Compliance with size and weight restrictions: Every airline has specific regulations for the maximum allowable dimensions and weight of carry-on and checked baggage. The Baggage Sizer with scale enables efficient and accurate verification of these restrictions.
  2. Safety aspects: Overweight baggage can pose a safety risk as it increases the structural load on the aircraft and can make handling more difficult for ground staff. By controlling the weight, these risks are minimized.
  3. Cost control: Airlines often have additional fees for overweight or oversized baggage. The Baggage Sizer with scale helps to correctly calculate and enforce these fees, leading to fair and consistent handling.
  4. Comfort and space management: In the aircraft cabin, the storage space for carry-on luggage is limited. The Baggage Sizer ensures that passengers only bring luggage that fits in the designated compartments, resulting in a smoother boarding process and more comfort for all passengers.
  5. Avoiding delays: When baggage is correctly checked at check-in or boarding, potential problems can be identified and resolved early. This helps to avoid delays during the boarding process and contributes to an on-time departure.
  6. Customer satisfaction: Clear and fair baggage rules that are consistently enforced contribute to passenger satisfaction. When passengers know that all baggage is checked equally, they feel fairly treated and are more likely to comply with the rules.

In summary, the Vangenhassend Baggage Sizer with scale ensures that airlines can enforce their baggage regulations, leading to a safer, more efficient, and customer-friendly flight operation.
